Also known as "crema catalana" and appearing in recipes as early as the 18th century, it is a typical Catalan dessert that was traditionally eaten in family to celebrate Father's Day (a bank holiday, by the way).
Its nutritional value is high, as we are talking about a dessert made from eggs, milk, sugar and lemon.
We serve it burnt, as this is how it has traditionally been done, and accompanied by a "neuló" or "carquinyoli".
